Dr. Luis Pires, DMD, MSD
Dr. Pires is originally from Brazil where he received his DMD degree, specialty title in Oral Surgery and completed his masters degree in Dental Implants. After years of private practicing and teaching implants procedures in the cities of Santos and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, he decided to move to Cleveland and specialize in Periodontics from Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Pires’ interest in research has lead him to publish many articles in respectable Journals and has been an active reviewer for the prestigious International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants (JOMI). Recently, he has been the coordinator of the Seattle Study Club of Akron.
Been an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration, American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association and Akron Dental Society, Dr Pires believes that treating patients with compassion and heart, listening to their problems and treating all patients as a family member is the only way to overcome their fears and insecurities. With that in mind, he is also trained in non invasive procedures such as Periodontal Laser Treatment (LANAP).
